He is fully legal and registered with Social Work England, the professional body for UK social workers.

Owning a home on the Costa Blanca since 1997, he has spent a great deal of time in the area and has established a wide network across many areas of the Costa Blanca.

Following a number of occasions when David assisted neighbours and friends who couldn't seem to find the correct means of support from UK based services he became interested in advocacy for older people living in Spain.

It was also apparent that when people had taken the decision to return to the UK they found the health and social care system very complicated.  As a result people were often refused services.

Following a lengthy period of research and consultation David felt it was time to support ExPats to receive support for which they were entitled to, and had made a lifetime of contributions towards.

With the uncertainty of BREXIT, this service is now in even greater demand.

Testimonials

Advocacy CostaBlanca made sure my parents received Attendance Allowance.  This meant they have been able to purchase care and stay together in Spain. I wouldnt have known where to begin if it wasnt for the advice and support of Advocacy CostaBlanca.”

Sarah Bell, Round Town News.

“When my Aunt needed to return to the UK and move into a care home, David made sure I had the correct information when I contacted my local council.  It made the move that little bit easier.  Advocacy CostaBlanca have remained in contact following the move and have ensured my Aunt recieved the support she needed”

Julie Fagg, Berkshire

I contacted David with respect to my husband's transfer from DLA to PIP. He has been very helpful and re-assuring, responding to my queries promptly and in detail. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

And all of this without any charges.

“Advocacy CostaBlanca visited me in my care home in Spain.  When I decided to move back to the UK they provided advice and guidance to me and my Family .  The care assessment showed it would be possible to move into my own flat, which I have done.  It was a struggle to get the local authority to accept my request, but with advice and information from ACB I got what I needed.”

“When I contacted David at Advocacy CostaBlanca I wasnt convinced I would be entitled to anything.  With his support I completed the 50 page form.  I now have Attendance Allowance and my Wife has applied to receive Carers Allowance.  This is helping us to stay in Spain.”

We contacted David when his services were recommended by a friend.  David provided a full assessment of need and then completed an application for Attendance Allowance.  He kept in regular contact with us and ensured we understood each stage of the process.

We were awarded the high rate of the benefit which has completely changed our lives here on the Costa Blanca.

David then supported me to be awarded Carers Allowance.

I cannot recommend the services of ACB highly enough.
